Lot Description

The back is made of two pieces quarter-cut maple, the top of two pieces of spruce with fine grain, scroll of spruce matching that of the back, ribs of maple matching that of the back, transparent golden varnish with an amber ground, overall graceful craftsmanship. Labelled CAROLUS BADARELLO FECIT IN TAURINI ANNO DOMINI 1923,internal stamped C.BADARELLO.

Condition

Small scrapes and abrasions, lower corner of treble top chipped, hairline fracture at  upper edge of back, right lower rib has a repair, bridge wear otherwise in excelent condition, under UV light the varnish shows pure. CT scan image available at request.
